His men’s collection echoed some of the themes in his resort offer, in particular prints inspired by the fluid, intersecting lines of 3-D computer imagery.  For More

Infographic: Nanotechnology Patents in the United States and Beyond- Column Five contributed in Technology, Science and Innovation
In 2000, the United States launched the National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) to advance nanotechnology research, development, and infrastructure. Other countries around the world, from South Korea to Germany, have launched similar initiatives. As we move toward more digital and mobile lifestyles, nanotechnology is being recognized for its invaluable properties in sensation, speed, durability, and energy-efficiency. What is it and what countries are leading in its innovation?
"I always had an existential crisis, trying to figure out ‘what does it all mean?’ I came to the conclusion that if we can advance the knowledge of the world, if we can expand the scope and scale of consciousness, then, we’re better able to ask the right questions and become more enlightened. That’s the only way to move forward."

 —Elon Musk

Ran across this quote on the Love & Freedom Project website. The site has a profile of Musk called Fierce Gentleman Profile, and it’s a pretty good read.

The quote is one of my favorites because it is Musk’s core vision and life pursuit. And the cherry on top is the way he is bringing this grand vision to fruition…physics. Elon Musk has talked many times about the way he approaches problem solving. He boils a problem or situation down to core principles and reasons up. Check out this two minute clip about how Musk uses this thinking to argue how a small company can be more productive than a larger one.

NASA’s GRAIL Mission Solves Mystery of Moon’s Surface Gravity

Using a precision formation-flying technique, the twin GRAIL spacecraft will map the moon’s gravity field, as depicted in this artist’s rendering. Radio signals traveling between the two spacecraft provide scientists the exact measurements required as well as flow of information not interrupted when the spacecraft are at the lunar farside, not seen from Earth. The result should be the most accurate gravity map of the moon ever made. The mission also will answer longstanding questions about Earth’s moon, including the size of a possible inner core, and it should provide scientists with a better understanding of how Earth and other rocky planets in the solar system formed. GRAIL is a part of NASA’s Discovery Program. Image credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech
